Jaan Tallinn
Started off as programmer for a local hardware manufacturer in 1986 with his class-mate Priit. The company was assembling 8-bit computers for use in public schools. Wrote various software for the platform, including several games. In 1989 participated in creating Kosmonaut the first Estonian computer game to be published outside the country. In the 1990, went to study physics in the University of Tartu. Set up Bluemoon Software in 1993 with Ahti and Priit, and has been involved in most of the projects of the company. Besides programming, his responsibilities have been the management and business relations. Graduated the University of Tartu in 1996 with a BSc degree in Theoretical Physics. His thesis was about travelling interstellar distances using warps in space-time fabric. Is married and has a daughter. |
